Scout tents are built for rough handling: young campers, repeated pitching and harsh weather. They are designed for scout teams and other larger groups that need dependable shelter in remote sites. Fabric is waterproof cotton canvas at 270, 325 or 450 gsm, in natural white or a custom colour. A groundsheet in cotton canvas or heavy PE is optional, and each tent includes metal poles, iron pegs and a cotton bag.

The heights and walls above are approximate and can be confirmed against a sample before an order is placed. The 6-person size works well as a patrol tent; the 12-person size is often used as a troop leader tent or a covered store for kit and cooking gear.
Bell tent: ten sleeping places under one pole
The bell tent has become a favourite for camps, glamping sites and family gatherings because it is easy to erect and very stable. A single centre pole and a ring of pegged walls give it a round footprint that sheds wind from any direction. Ten people can sleep in a wheel pattern with their feet towards the pole.

The heavy-duty PE mud-flap runs around the base of the wall. It stops rain splash and ground damp from reaching the canvas, and it can be tucked under a groundsheet to seal out draughts and insects.
Nepal tent and sunset cabin tent sizes
For small groups, hikers and families, two lighter models share the same set of floor sizes. The length is shown as the sleeping area plus a vestibule or porch, which gives space for boots and backpacks outside the sleeping zone.
Nepal Tent
A cotton mountain-shaped tent with a fully screened entrance that keeps mosquitoes out while letting air through. It comes with a PE groundsheet, poles, pegs and a bag, in 270, 325 or 450 gsm canvas.
Sunset Cabin Tent
Our budget family tent, with a storm flap over the door, two screened windows for cross ventilation and a sewn-in PE floor, so there are no gaps for water or insects to enter at ground level.

Canvas vs nylon for camping in Pakistan
Most imported recreational tents are made from nylon or polyester. They are light and pack small, which suits a solo trekker. For groups, camps and long stays, cotton canvas has clear advantages.

Waterproofing canvas works differently from coated nylon. When rain hits treated cotton, the fibres swell and tighten the weave so water runs off, yet air still passes through. That is why a new canvas tent is often "seasoned" by wetting and drying it once before the first trip: the threads settle and any slight seepage at the seams stops.
Pitching and caring for a canvas camping tent
- Pick the site. Choose flat ground slightly higher than its surroundings, away from dry stream beds and loose rock.
- Lay the groundsheet and spread the tent on top with the door facing away from the prevailing wind.
- Peg the base loosely at the corners (or around the circle for a bell tent).
- Raise the poles, then attach guy ropes and tension them evenly so seams are straight.
- Adjust after weather changes. Canvas tightens when wet and relaxes when dry; slacken ropes in rain and retighten in sun.
Care after the trip
- Never pack a tent wet for more than a day; unpack and dry it fully at home.
- Brush off mud and dry grass rather than scrubbing with detergent, which removes waterproofing.
- Store in the cotton bag in a dry room, off a concrete floor.
- Patch small tears early with matching canvas; our canvas fabric is suitable for repairs.

Is a canvas tent better than a nylon tent for camping?
For groups, long stays and hot or cold weather, usually yes. Canvas breathes, so there is less condensation, it stays cooler in sun and warmer at night, and it resists UV and abrasion. Nylon is lighter and packs smaller, which suits solo trekkers carrying everything on their backs.
How many people fit in the bell tent?
Our bell tent sleeps ten people on its 4 m diameter floor, arranged like spokes around the centre pole. For comfortable stays with luggage, many families and glamping operators plan for six to eight adults instead.
Do your camping tents have a floor?

Which tent is best for a trip to northern Pakistan?

Why does my new canvas tent leak slightly at the seams?
New cotton canvas needs seasoning. Pitch the tent, wet it thoroughly and let it dry once or twice before your trip. The fibres and stitching holes swell and close up, after which the tent sheds rain properly. Avoid touching the inside of the canvas during rain.
Can schools and scout groups order custom colours?
Yes. Natural white is standard for scout tents and olive green is also available on several models; custom colours can be dyed in our own dyeing unit. Minimum quantities apply, so share your colour reference and quantity through our inquiry form.
What fabric weight should I choose?
Choose 270–280 gsm for light summer use, 325 gsm for regular club and school use, and 450 gsm for cold regions, long seasons or rental fleets. Heavier canvas lasts longer and is warmer but adds weight to carry.
How should I store a canvas camping tent?
Make sure the tent is completely dry, brush off dirt, fold it loosely and keep it in its cotton bag in a dry, ventilated room off the floor. Storing canvas damp leads to mildew, even on rot-proofed fabric.
How long does a bulk camping tent order take?
